Xrite, otoh, will likely provide an update if they're not yet 64-bit. Now that they've announced SpyderX, I wouldn't hold my breath for Spyder5 software to be updated to 64-bit, although we might get lucky. James: My experience with ColorVision is that they don't upgrade apps after newer versions are released. You can download a more thorough 32-bit discovery app here: I've read that PS CS6 is one, for example. However, a "64-bit" app may contain routines that are still 32-bit. To "sorta" tell if an app's 64-bit, open System Information (accessed by holding Option while clicking on the Apple menu) and see what the "Applications" section shows the app as.
Most 32-bit apps run fine in Mojave, but they'll totally stop working in 10.15. Peter, that's different from the question James asked. It runs fine on High Sierra and Mojave here, both 64 bit systems. Is the software 64-bit and compatible with OSX 10.14.4? There is no definitive info that I can find on X-Rite's website that specifcally addresses this. Even as a hobbyist, an i1Display Pro is a fairly modest expenditure and is a great device to boot. I do not do any printing as I use a service to do that when I want something printed. my question is what hardware calibration system do you use that is 64-bit? Now, I do understand that Spyder Datacolor is not the top of the line calibration system, but, as a photo hobbyist, I do want to keep my NEC 27" monitor calibrated. It's as if they don't know anything about the 64-bit issue upcoming. But they will not give me a definitive answer on this. I have contacted Datacolor support a few times to ask if they plan to release 64 bit software for the day when 32-bit apps will not longer run on future Apple's OS.
